VOS – the only Swedish NGO working with domestic election observation – was founded on the 24th of March 2022, by a group of election observers that have previously conducted election observation within the framework of the four party affiliated foundations Silc, the Palme Center, Green Forum and CIS.
The association’s purpose is to observe elections, especially in Sweden, but also to assist domestic election observation in other countries. The association can also conduct other activities that aim to increase understanding, commitment and respect for democratic decision-making processes.
